Tobias- I think I understand your question, but first of all, what the hell kind of music are you listening to??? Is there a certain song I could hear? OK, seriously, it seems to refer to slave traders. They were traders in the sense of buying and selling something, for example the early French in Canada were fur traders. Slave traders bought and sold African people to be slaves, to work on the plantations (often cotton, but also tobacco, peanuts, etc.)in the South. A plantation owner who needed slaves would buy them from a slave trader, who would go capture them in Africa and bring them to the American South to be sold as slaves. Does that make sense?
